Tampa, FL. June 1, 2005. Health Integrated hosted a groundbreaking educational forum with CME credits on Depression Disease Management this past week in Tampa, Florida. The purpose was to bring experts from around the country to speak about depression and how it affects healthcare costs, absenteeism and presenteeism, as well as present the results from current programs being utilized at Health Integrated.
In attendance were representatives and presenters from several of the country's largest employers and health plans. "This was the most comprehensive educational program on Depression and its impact on co-morbid conditions that I have attended. The session made a compelling argument for health plans and large employers to aggressively manage depression, especially where depression is associated with co-morbid disease, such as CAD, CHF and Diabetes." says John A. Gillespie, M.D., Vice President & Medical Director, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York.
Because of the strong interest shown in this session, Health Integrated will be hosting similar forums in Houston, Texas in mid June and in Tampa, Florida in mid September. In that the Houston session is completely booked, Health Plans and large employer CMO's/Medical Directors are encouraged to contact Charles Gustafson, SVP, at 860-983-5025 for attendance at the September session.
