CMS Releases 2016 Advance Notice and Draft Call Letter
CMS proposes changes to Medicare Advantage and Part D programs in 2016 Advance Notice and Draft Call Letter.
On Feb. 20, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released proposed changes for the coming year (2016) for the Medicare Advantage (MA) and Part D Prescription Drug Programs. The proposed changes were provided in an Advance Notice and Draft Call Letter, which is open for comments until March 6. The final letter will be released on April 6.
This year, 53 senators signed the annual “Do Not Hurt Medicare Advantage (MA)” letter to CMS. This is an increase of 13 senators over last year and demonstrates increased support for the MA programs, which cover nearly 30% of Medicare beneficiaries.
Health Integrated has provided a summary of the proposed changes to help you and your plan prepare. Elements covered in the letter include:
Growth Rates and Policies for Risk Adjustment & Coding Intensity
