Health Integrated Partners with Johns Hopkins HealthCare for Medical and Behavioral Health Utilization Management in New Medicare Plan

Johns Hopkins HealthCare is added to the ranks of Health Integrated clients for utilization review services. The Health Integrated solution covers both medical and behavioral health.



Health Integrated
 today announced it will offer responsive medical and behavioral health utilization management services to Maryland members and providers in the new Johns Hopkins Advantage MD (PPO) plan. An experienced presence in the Medicare Advantage sector, Health Integrated will work with providers to assure that the medical and behavioral needs of members are addressed in a timely and appropriate manner.

“It is an honor to be collaborating with this prestigious organization to serve members and providers with effective, evidence-based utilization management,” said Sam Toney, MD, chief medical officer and executive vice president of clinical integrity for Health Integrated. “Our two decades of working with Medicare providers and members will optimize treatment effectiveness and appropriate use of resources for Maryland residents in the plan.”

Launched this month, Johns Hopkins Advantage MD (PPO) represents Johns Hopkins HealthCare’s (JHHC) fourth plan and one that helps their combined membership total more than 400,000 lives. Health Integrated is able to offer turnkey utilization management services that make them a logical fit for the needs of JHHC’s new plan.

“The confluence of values in quality and service excellence between Health Integrated and JHHC also makes for a good match in terms of culture,” Toney said.
